I had written a review before but see that it is missing. What happened? Does the salon have the ability to delete negative reviews if they don't like them? In a nutshell... this place is rated to be the#1 salon in Md! well, if your interested in a dirty, caotic, loud and unfriendly place this is for you. My hairdresser was friendly and helpful and I'm very happy with ny hair, however the receptionists and the service otherwise is badly lacking. I was recommended to my hairdresser by a friend at work, and she did warn me that other than that particular lady, other things may be a little off putting. Without going in to all the details, let me just say that it took me 20 minutes to get checked in because I was ignored when I arrived and it took me almost that long to pay when I was finished? The shop is dirty, loud, awful music, awful dress code (unless you like to look at a lot of big bosomns), the bathroom was fitlthy and the over all invironment was unprofessional and unviting. althoutgh I'm very pleased with my hair and my experience with the lady who cut it, I will not be returning. Unfortunate for me and unfortunate for her. She really spent a lot of time with me and showed me how to blow out my hair the way she did as well as gave me other interesting information. If this is what a #1 salon is like in maryland, I wonder what #2 is like!

I was referred to this salon by a woman I work with. I loved her haircut and asked her who did it. When I got to the salon I was ignored for serveral minutes by a lady at the desk.I had to ask to be waited on and finally she told me to have a seat but didn't even ask me who I was there see. After a few more minutes went by I reminded her that I was waiting. My hair stylist came over and was very nice and friendly (she even gave me a $10.00 discount and one for my friend as well). We went over some hair dos and decided on one. My shampooer was very good but she was talking to her other shampoo friends in Spanish and laughing. I wish I spoke Spanish! I think it was very rude. When I got to my hair dressers chair everything was great. She was very smart and told me many tips for my hair and how to blow it dry the way she did. My hair came out great and I was more than happy. Until I got back to the receptionist. It almost 20 minutes to give her my money. My stylist waited with me and told me about how to get points for getting your hair done but it took so long to pay that I couldn't sign up. I had to get out. I was very happy about my hair and the woman who did it for me, I probably won't be going back. It say that this salon is ranked #1 in Maryland. I can't believe that. It's old and dirty and crazy. This lights were terrible and it was just like chaos in there. And some of the people who work there dress in very revealing and taky ways. Unprofessional and frustrating.

David's is a great place for cuts, color and the best shampoo's around. Everyone on staff makes you feel welcome and tend to your needs. My stylist does a great job and is always up to doing something new and fun with color. The place is not huge, but plenty of places to sit. My only issue is the lighting is not good. This especially comes into play when trying to see hair color for how it really looks in daylight. I would recommend David's for all ages, cuts and styles !!!

All genders and ages are welcome at this salon. There is a mix of edgy color/cuts as well as the "same old" platinum, long hair styles. David's has a few experts in hair color, hair extensions, and makeup--they are really top notch! The shampoo ladies are the best ever... as a part of the shampoo process... they provide head massages that go as far back as the neck. This salon provides other types of services, such as pedicures/manicures/eyebrow waxing, but I go elsewhere and have not tried these services. Some negatives--the lighting is not that great and a major portion of the salon lacks a contemporary look. Prices are similar to other salons in the area. David's has a nice bonus reward for regular customers that depending on how many points you accrue for each visit ... you can receive free hair products or free basic services such as manicures.
